October 24, 2011

Our topic for the next Deployed Spouses Group will be part 2 of "Be Realistic"- tip #8 on our list of 21 Tips for how to thrive during a deployment.  We're taking two weeks on this topic because of its importance and relevance to the struggles of separation.

Dinner will be catered through the Marta Riquelune catering service.

Please RSVP to SPC Phillips @ daniel.j.phillips@conus.army.mil with number of children coming with you by age.

Thank you for serving your country by persevering through the daily grind and keeping things together while your hero is gone.  Hang tough and hope to see you Monday night!

** No meeting Halloween night! **
We decided as a group not to meet the following Monday on Halloween night. The vast majority of ladies present said they'll be busy with their trick or treaters.

Our topic for this Monday night is "Be Realistic"

Some of our ladies are expecting the return of their hubbies soon and must "be realistic" about how reunion will go.  Other ladies face the challenge of managing their expectations early on or somewhere near the midpoint of their hubbies' deployment.  We will separate our ladies into discussion groups that are relevant to their situation.

It's a POTLUCK week!

The theme for this week will be "Dude food".  In honor of your "dude" bring a dish that he loves (and the rest of the family enjoys too) and have a feast in his honor.  Lets have HHBN ladies bring some "Dude" desserts and if a few ladies want to break ranks and bring salads, that will be great.

RSVP your attendance, number of children coming by age and dish you're bringing to SPC Phillips at:

We look forward to seeing you at the meeting! Thrive On!
